Offseat keeps almost everything on your iPhone. The one exception is Friends, an optional feature that needs a small amount of information on our server so that friends can pair up and send each other a notification. This policy explains exactly what that is.
What stays on your phone
Your working hours and reminder settings, the breaks you take, your habits and your notification choices are stored only on your iPhone. We never receive them. Reminders are scheduled by iOS on the phone itself. Offseat has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
What Friends sends to our server
Nothing leaves your phone until you invite or join a friend. From then on, our server holds:

When you take your first break of the day, your phone tells our server so it can notify your friends. The server does not store that event, and it never receives your schedule, your break times, your break count or your habits.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare hosts our server and its database, stored in Western Europe.
- Expo (650 Industries, Inc., United States) passes friend notifications to the Apple Push Notification service, which delivers them to the phone. Expo receives the notification address and the notification text, which includes your first name.
We do not sell or share your information with anyone else, and we do not use it for marketing.
Legal basis
We use this information to provide the Friends feature you chose to use (performance of a contract, UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and the anti-abuse counts to keep the service working for everyone (legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f)).
Your rights and how to delete
To delete everything we hold, open Offseat, go to Menu, tap the friends count, then Turn off Friends. It is deleted from our server at once. If you have already deleted Offseat from your phone, email us and we will delete it for you.
You can also ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@voll.co.uk. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Payments
Apple handles the purchase of Offseat. We receive no payment details and do not know who bought the app.
Children
Offseat is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly hold information about them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
